You really should have the compound be breached and then the main character battle through the city and end up in nastya's outpost like in the online dead frontier

I haven't read the rest of the comments, but here are my ideas!

A: The infection could mutate and become air-borne or water-borne (If thats how it's spelled)
B: The infection could mutate, and the infected could become inteligent with sudden bursts of instinctual rage. Which makes one able to sneak into the compound farm thing thing.
C: The disease has created new living conditions, creating new beasts, whom are either immune to the disease or relies on the disease to survive. These beasts are either huge and killer, or small and fast with deadly results. The immune creatures aren't as agressive as those who relies on the disease to survive.
D: The compund simply runs out of resources.
E: A new type of disease is spreading, turning people into look-alikes, which will make their very own kind shoot them. Even though they aren't deadly or vicious.
F: An earthquake or another happening destroys the defences completely (The farms defences)
G: A helicopter lands on the farm, telling that a cure has been found, and that everything is going to be alright soon enough. As they laugh reassuringly, they get a radio call from their base, where the one calling is about to be eaten, as he shouts for help.

I'm sure I could come up with more, but I think thats plenty. I loved the game! :3

After a few weeks, a military convoy arrived to the farm. (Again you have a choice of what to take with you for the voyage) The hero and his wife and a few other survivors climb unto the military first aid evacuation helicopter and the chopper starts to fly. The noise of the rottors attracts a group of infected (and you could get choices here on what to do) Eventually the chopper goes up and the journey continues for a few hours. (The fuel tanks were ruptured by the previous fighting against the zombies and the helicopter goes crashing down into unknown territory) Now the ultimate challenge to survive begins. You get your wife to a nearby home and let her rest, knowing that she is in the early stages of pregnancy. You join the others and together you scavenge for food, water and other basic essentials (there will be many choices that will be made when searching for the material) Some of the survivors turn on eachother to get the last remaining food and water and a series of backstabbings begin. The hero gets more and more paranoid but stil his relationship with the others builds aswell (New characters could be introduced! There could be team missions where we play as the hero to finish going through an area and then we could play as another character who has to complete an individual task in order for the stroy with the hero to continue, etc.) In the end even the best of friends turn on eachother... It would also be cool if you could add minigames, for example; if there is a fight against a zombie there could be a minigame in which we get a gun and we have to shoot him in time and stuff like that. The series has a lot of potential.

heres a little tip that that thing in outbrake 2 where your in the malla nd you hear that noice you should make that thing come back.

A good idea that people have mentioned here is to start the game off with the settlement being overrun, and you having to escape the sanctuary with your wife and whoever else through some udnerground tunnels or something.

Alterantively, the game could begin with the plane dropping pamphlets warning that the government (or what remains of it) is going to drop a nuke on the city, which will vaporize the surrounding area, thus, forcing the protagonist and his wife to leave the safety of the settlement.

Either way, the protagonist can encounter the usual, zombies and other (perhaps hostile) survivors, animals that carry the disease, etc., before coming across the military, who promptly evacuate you to some sort of detainment camp. As it turns out from the first game, your wife did indeed become infected from the bite she suffered in the Outbreak, but she is immune, and the scientist types and military want to perform tests on her, while also ´cleansing´ the other survivors and people they believe are infected. It is now up to you to rescue your wife.

Now this may all be a big old mish mash of 28 Weeks Later and every other post apocalyptic flick ever made, but to be honest, that is the fun of these games, allowing the player to traverse the world of zombie cliches that is nevertheless immersed in the gritty reality of the modern world.

So as an idea to pursue from here should definitely lean towards the military aspect and the remnants of the government coming in to play ball. And as it turns out, there aren´t so friendly after all. ;D

Either way, looking forward to a sequel.

your gonna be busy with the 3D am i right? after the 3D he will work on the outbreak 3(it says on the forums at deadfrontier.com) but mostly people are too busy to play th outbreak 3. cause they will be busy with the 3D game at deadfrontier.com its gonna be awesome cause in multiplayer we are all in one server no more servers cause unity can handle alot of lag like (thousands of players and zombies) an check my page i have the video of the 3D demo check mine page out
And the Non GM or us free players, the 3D demo *with zombies of course* is tomorrow cant wait to kill 30 zombies that are sprinting at me 0_0 which is kinda hard but i hope aggro is always low so that i can loot things in the city safely visit my page and comment about what video is this or more info about the game enjoy my video =P

ok he got back three weeklater a zombie gets in thu a window thats bin brokehe bites 3 surviverbefore getting shot they hide the bites later they turn and infectt everyone exept u ur wife and her dad u guy make it out and getina car to get away after checking it u here on a the radio that was hard 2 understand but u here (if theres*fuzzy*out*fuzzy*go 2 a arny base that happened to be 13 hours away fron were u r (U HANDLE THE REST IF U USE IT )

There can be a new plot, for example, the farmhouse is attacked and overrun, someone was bit and the farmhouse is unsafe, maybe you and a few others from the farm have to resupply from another town or store, the farm becomes barren in grain and food and you must all move to a new location, the virus becomes airborne, raiders pillage and loot the farmhouse resulting in a few dead and no choice but to move.

I hope you make Dead Frontier 3 and I would just make one more recommendation, when using the photo's throught the game, I think fans would enjoy it more if they didn't go in and out of focus.

i think the next part of the plot should go along the lines of relocation...
supplys low, camp infected or something like that
if you want it to be the last one you can show the survivors making their way to nastya
big fan of DF btw :D

i have bean reading the comments and i strongly suggest you read the ideas that the guy ezdi wrote so i hope you read this and then read his ideas =3

Alright, here's my idea, over the course of several months, the infected soon reach the countryside and eventually reach you compound despite your efforts. you are confronted with a choice, leave you wife, take her with you, or allow another allie to look after her. or due to the lack of medicine, you are chosen to try and get the sewage treatment factory up and running.

thats what i think...

Hey i played all your games and got a good score on the survival quizes Unlike these guys instead of it being zombies are evolveing and different types appering i think you should include 2 things one the weather is now changeing due to all the death and fires a oil being burned and now because of the plants being rapidly eat and or chipping off they evolve into a deadly nerual toxic that frys some of the senses and makes you lose your reasoning so you try to balance between holding zombies off holding insane freaks off and all of natures forces while trying to stay sane pitting the survivors to there extremes makeing them make mistakes so barriers are broken and murder and corruption is soon upon your home

make it a free multiplayer that peple in the game (around 4 or 3) can deside what they do. i suport kornrox's idea

i like kornrox idea
i would go with that 1
or at least part of it

Good luck ^_^

I think you should do a character change. The character should be a 17 or 18 year old and a bit easy going. The plot should be about him hearing a rescue helicopter arrival(i was thinkin that at the end it didnt show up for a strange reason but you can leave that out)I love you game i also have an DF beta account

I have an idea, there would be a Fallout-like traveling system with a timer.
Each time you encounter something you go in to text mode and respond with whatever.
So, the safe haven is the Farm (you can access this area for a clip for your current weapon, however you can only use it five times for each weapon, except for stronger weapons).
You might be asking, why are they not staying inside of the farm? Well, because they have ran out of food supplies.
You have to find another safe haven, be it a miltary base, another farm in the countryside and etc,.
Now, I have thought about it this way, there would be multiple safe havens, each with different endings (overrun, survival and so forth).
A game over is when the main character dies (so basically any member of your party can die).

Bad idea? I hope so, because I'm BRAAAINNN DEAD.

Hope you read this!
At the end of your last mission you return to the farm with the medicine your wife requires...but it is too late for her. Despite saving the other survivors the remaining inhabitants of the farm have come to resent you for not making it back on time to save her. In your grief you cannot let their increasingly hostile attitude towards you slide and you confront her father. In a heated arguement you almost don't realise a large group of the infected attempting to break in,but the sounds of gunfire and yelled battle commands of whoever is on guard duty.

You are no longer safe.

You can choose to simply flee the farm yourself or to reconcile with the others and make your escape in a group.
once you reach a relatively safe haven your survivors will turn on you once again, blaming you for your wifes death AND claiming that it was you who lead the zombies to the farm, despite the fact that they were the once that convinced you to go. You may choose to simply leave them now or try to make ammends with them.Negotiating the situation however can lead to death,or just being stripped of your equipment and supplies, leaving you with only the clothes on your back and the undead on your tail[deliberatly alerted by one of your particularly spiteful former allys]
You may also attempt to stand your ground against the zombies with a slim chance to survive[if you survive the remaining survivors will trust you again. This allows you to take several options later that would be closed to a solo player] You may also order a retreat with limited success.

[solo]
your supplies[if you had any] are lost after you leave the party as you run from a small mob of the undead,in your desperation you make your way to the trraintracks unsure of what to do...okay that's all I got for now!

My idea, you should make cut-scenes,like when you choose what you're gonna do,you'll see it happen so it'd be more interesting.

For storyline ideas, you could make the survivors have to evacuate the area cause the military is gonna drop a deadly nuclear bomb on the city.

So they'd have to get far away from the city ASAP.

you guys are all dumbasses who are saying the same thing over and over again.... the only original idea was "byebyeguys" comment. he has the most original and well thought out idea out there

Before I start, I'm a huge fan of the game. It's really unique.

Anyway, I think the main problems of DF 1 and 2 is that your choices earlier on rarely have an impact later on. For example, in DF 2 you picked your weapon like a shotgun, sniper rifle, etc. but it did nothing later on. All the same, you could pick a rope/crowbar and use it later on, or you could choose to lock certain doors to stop zombies later, but those were only two examples and I felt that more would have been cooler.

For example, the clothes you pick could have a major decision. Lighter clothing would leave you useless in direct contact but would help you run faster. The gun you picked could determine how battles end up (with submachine guns winning where snipers would lose and vice versa).

Otherwise I know that DF 3 will be an awesome game.
